Who We Are St. Gregory the Great began our faith community on September 3, 1985, on the Feast of St. Gregory the Great and grew our family in humble abodes and with grateful hearts. We moved into our new church home on September 3, 1999, also on the Feast of St. Gregory the Great. We are no longer a new parish, although we are still counted among the newest in the San Diego Diocese. The history of our parish growth is chronicled herein. We are so much more than the buildings that we occupy. We are truly a faith community of many facets. We are our spiritual leaders, and our our lay ministers. We are the many parishioners who participate in myriad ministries. We are the prayers we pray and the the sacraments we share. We are human and godlike and loving and growing. We are a community like so many others and a community unique unto itself.
